About Dapple Hill Farm
Welcome to Dapple Hill Farm, a premier equestrian facility for horseback riding lessons, training, and boarding in Tewksbury, New Jersey.
Founded and led by Sara Goetz, a lifelong equestrian from Maplewood, NJ. Dapple Hill Farm reflects her passion for horses a love that began at just five years old. After years of dedicated riding, Sara transitioned to professional training in the early 1990s at Spring Tree Farm in Mendham, NJ, where she managed the lesson program and developed her unique, results driven coaching style.
With over 40 years of experience in the equestrian world, Sara oversees a top-tier riding and training facility that prioritizes excellence, safety, and horsemanship. Her students have earned numerous accolades, including NJHSA and NJPHA year-end championships, Zone Finals placements, Marshall & Sterling Finals recognition, and success at WEC Championships.
Sara’s expertise extends to intercollegiate competition, having served as head trainer for the Drew University equestrian team for five seasons. She specialized in teaching student-athletes the art of catch riding, guiding them from beginner walk-trot levels to open equitation up to 3’.
Her students consistently excel at rated horse shows across the Eastern U.S., with several alumni achieving success in the Equitation ring and Grand Prix competitions—each built on the strong foundation established at Dapple Hill Farm.
In addition to rider development, Sara has a deep passion for rehabilitating horses. She gained extensive experience working for a private Thoroughbred racehorse farm, focusing on starting young horses and rehabbing injured ones. Today, she collaborates with a trusted team of veterinarians, farriers, and equine chiropractors to support comprehensive rehabilitation programs, helping horses return to their jobs healthier and happier.
